Building Lifelong Smiles From the Start!
A Milestone for Your Child's Smile
A Growing Smile
As your child grows, their smile will undergo many changes. We carefully monitor how their teeth come in, along with jaw development, bite alignment, and spacing. During the teething phase, your child’s gums may become sore or tender. You can ease their discomfort by gently massaging their gums with a clean finger, using a cool wet cloth, or offering a teething ring.
Baby teeth will begin to fall out at different stages of childhood. Around age six, permanent teeth start to emerge and continue to appear until around age 21. In total, your child will have 28 permanent teeth—32 if wisdom teeth come in. Losing baby teeth and growing adult teeth is a natural process, and we’ll guide your child through each step to help them understand the changes happening in their mouth.
Building Strong Smiles Early
Healthy dental habits begin at a young age! We’ll teach your child the proper way to brush and floss, explaining the importance of these habits in a fun, easy-to-understand way. We also promote healthy eating habits and recommend regular dental checkups every six months to keep their teeth clean and strong.
By incorporating oral care into their daily routine early on, kids are more likely to carry these habits into adulthood—setting the foundation for a lifetime of healthy smiles.
Keeping Your Child’s Smile Strong
Cavities are common in children, but with the right care, they’re easy to prevent.
Tooth decay occurs when sugars left in the mouth turn into acids that damage teeth. Since kids and teens sometimes miss the mark on brushing and flossing, they’re more likely to develop cavities. Regular brushing, flossing, and dental checkups every six months are essential for maintaining healthy teeth.
