We are super excited to welcome our newest team member & dentist, Dr. Jeanette Mikulik! You might have already met her, but if you haven’t, let us tell you why you’re missing out…
Dr. Mikulik was born into a Polish family and raised in Vancouver with her parents and her older sister. At a young age, she already knew what she wanted to be when she grew up! “I knew I always wanted to practice in the healthcare profession, and I loved all that dentistry had to offer. Alleviating patients’ pain and improving someone’s smile is what keeps me coming back to work every day,” Dr. Mikulik recalls.
While she loves spending time with her family outside of work, Dr. Mikulik considers her patients a part of her family as well: “I have found that forming a connection with each patient and understanding their goals is critical to formulating an appropriate treatment plan. My patients are my family!” While she is not working, Dr. Mikulik loves to run the Austin trail, enjoys outdoor activities and loves to cook. She is exploring all Austin has to offer…including the music, the community and she definitely hasn’t forgotten to experience the food!
Although Dr. Mikulik loves Austin, she hopes to be able to serve those communities in most need of dental care, specifically those in Poland, where she is from.
As Dr. Mikulik starts her career in dentistry, she remembers the most important lesson she’s learned: “Life is beautiful- so don’t let the daily trials and tribulations get you down. We must all learn from our experience and grow as individuals to being the best versions of ourselves.”
